City of Obetz issued the following announcement on March 2.
The City of Obetz will be hosting its annual Trout Fishing Derby at Dixon Quarry on Saturday, April 2nd, from 9am-noon. Participation is FREE! Adults and children can fish, so be sure to bring your friends and family. Children, 5 years and under can fish from our kiddie pool pond for a chance to win their very own prize (while supplies last). You can take home all the trout you catch—all other fish are catch and release.

Registration:
Pre-registration is encouraged. You can pre-register at https://secure.rec1.com/OH/village-of-obetz-oh/catalog until April 1st.
Day of registration will be accepted in person on April 2nd starting at 8:15am at Dixon Quarry Pavilion (located at 4400 Industrial Center Drive.) This entrance is the only access point to the pavilion and is on Industrial Center Drive.
The secondary entrance to the park is accessible through the Vance’s parking lot to fish (you cannot get to the pavilion through this entrance).
Participants are expected to bring their own fishing equipment and bait. Fishers are not permitted to “chum the waters” with corn or other bait.

8:15am- Same Day Registration
9am- Start Fishing (signaled by airhorn)
