Bexley Public Library: Arbor Day Author Talk: Meg Lowman, author of The Arbornaut

Bexley Public Library recently issued the following announcement.

Join us for this special Zoom author visit with with Meg Lowman, author of The Arbornaut: A Life Discovering the Eighth Continent in the Trees Above Us. Margaret “Canopy Meg” will be in conversation with local fellow scientist and author, Troy Markham. Together they will reflect on the role that forest canopies play in our planet’s health and how it is essential to conservation.

Margaret Lowman Ph.D., is a renowned global pioneer in forest canopy science and is one of the world’s foremost “arbornauts.” She has dedicated decades of her life to exploring and studying the vast forest canopies that make up the eighth continent. She is committed to helping others understand the essential role that forest canopies play in our planet’s health.

Troy Markham is a Bexley resident and a science instructor at The Ohio State University and at Capital University. Troy is currently Bexley City Council President and a graduate of The Ohio State University with degrees in political science and plant biology.

This program is in partnership with the Bexley Arbor Day Committee and generously funded by the Paige and Michael Crane Fund of Bexley Public Library.
