Housing Options For Seniors

Join us for a discussion on different housing options for older adults and their families to consider as they age in their communities. Speaker Paula Taliaferro of the COAAA will explain the housing continuum and define common jargon. She will provide resources to help locate and assess these alternatives, including their pricing structures. Each participant will also receive a housing and long term care guide which lists and describes various options in Central Ohio.

The Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging (COAAA) is a non-profit governmental agency which arranges and coordinates services to help older and disabled individuals with daily living. Examples include homemaking, transportation. home delivered meals, and personal care. The COAAA offers education and resources to caregivers, professionals, and the public. The agency also advocates for programs and policies that benefit older adults and individuals with disabilities. It manages services for 12,500 people and funds services for another 25,000 older adults in eight counties: Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, and Union.
