Canal Winchester High School standout Joey Helms’ college team lost in NCAA Division II baseball game on Friday, Feb. 14

On Friday, Feb. 14, former Canal Winchester High School standout Joey Helms’ current college team, the Mercyhurst Lakers, lost 5-3 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the UMass Lowell Riverhawks.

The game took place at Edward A. LeLacheur Park. This was their first matchup against the Riverhawks this season.

The Lakers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. at Shipyard Park against UAB Blazers.
