Joey Helms, former Canal Winchester High School standout, played on Friday, Feb. 21 in NCAA Division II baseball game

On Friday, Feb. 21, former Canal Winchester High School standout Joey Helms’ current college team, the Mercyhurst Lakers, lost 2-0 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Gardner–Webb Runnin' Bulldogs.

The game took place at John Henry Moss Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Runnin' Bulldogs this season.

The Lakers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 12 p.m. at John Henry Moss Stadium against Gardner–Webb Runnin' Bulldogs.
